DPM worked with a European factory developing a special engine that meets the North American flyer's unique needs.  We know because we are serious modelers that understand the difference.

Nitro is almost impossible to get in Europe, therefore, European engine manufactures tune for low or no nitro operation. The problem is that in North America, 5 to 15% Nitro fuels are much more common and when used in a typical European engine can advance the timing to the point of pre-detonation which can cause overheating and loss of power.  NOT a good thing during a low torque roll, or in a low pass in your in your scale model....
